At the 7th meeting of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, two draft decisions submitted by the Ministry of Labor, Family, and Liberation War Values were approved. These decisions seek authorization from the President of the Republic of Kosovo to sign Social Security Agreements with the Republic of Austria and the Republic of Turkey.
These agreements aim to establish a legal framework for the recognition and coordination of insurance periods, enabling citizens who have worked in Kosovo and in either of these two countries to exercise their pension rights.
The Minister of Labor, Family, and Liberation War Values, Mr. Andin Hoti, emphasized that the goal of both agreements is to create a new legal basis for regulating mutual relations in the field of social security, thereby enabling the reciprocal recognition of contributions for pension eligibility.
Signing and implementation will follow the completion of the necessary legal procedures”.
