Forty-two professionals trained in family social services and the protection of victims of domestic violence

The Department for Social and Family Service Policies, with the support of the Council of Europe Office in Pristina, organized information sessions on the “Standards for Social Services for the Protection of Victims of Domestic Violence.”

Forty-two social service professionals from Centers for Social Work and shelters for victims of domestic violence received information on the effective implementation of these Standards.
The Standards facilitate sustainability, accountability, and efficiency in handling domestic violence cases, while safeguarding the rights and well-being of victims.

They outline the legal obligations of social service professionals and provide a quality checklist for service delivery. Furthermore, they enable the effective monitoring and evaluation of service provision across various stages of intervention.

The implementation of these Standards contributes to strengthening a victim-centered approach, ensuring that services are coordinated, safe, and tailored to the specific needs of each victim, with the ultimate goal of protecting their dignity, safety, rights, and well-being.
