Division for the Control of Pension and Social Schemes

The Division for the Control of Pension and Social Schemes has the mission of improving the system of administration and monitoring the implementation of legislation on pension and social schemes and benefits for categories emerging from the war.

The duties and responsibilities of the Division for the Control of Pension and Social Schemes are:

  • Monitors and controls the implementation of laws, bylaws and the legality of decision-making for beneficiaries of social schemes, pension schemes and benefits for categories emerging from the war;
  • Identifies and recommends the correction/elimination of potential errors during the processing of benefits from social schemes, pension schemes and benefits for categories emerging from the war;
  • Cooperates with institutions at the central and local level, regarding the establishment of a sustainable monitoring system for the identification and correction of payment errors and benefits without legal basis;
  • Proposes and provides recommendations to the Ministry for amending or supplementing legislation, approved minimum standards, as well as drafting other standards for the scope of the division; and
  • Prepares quarterly and annual reports on control and inspection activities.
