Minister Hoti was received in a meeting by representatives of NGOs for child protection

The Minister of the Ministry for Labor, Family and Values ​​of the Liberation War, Mr. Andin Hoti, was hosted at a meeting by representatives of COMF – the Coalition of NGOs for the Protection of Children in Kosovo, where the main priorities in the field of social protection and children’s rights in Kosovo were discussed.

The importance of developing integrated services between institutions and organizations that provide social and protective support for children and families in need was also discussed.

The focus was also on the need to finalize legislation for persons with disabilities, ensuring harmonization with international standards and effective implementation in practice.

Special attention was paid to the categories of children who need greater support, including children on the autism spectrum, children without parental care, the need to expand speech therapy services, support for children in street situations and other socially vulnerable categories.

Also, the importance of better monitoring of social services was discussed, with the aim of improving quality, increasing access and expanding the scope of services for citizens in need of institutional support.
The Ministry of Social Affairs and Human Rights remains committed to strengthening cooperation with civil society organizations and advancing social policies in the interest of children, families and all categories in need.
