The duties and responsibilities of the Division of Medical Commissions are:
Management and administration of the work of all medical commissions in order to evaluate all the requests of applicants in the schemes of pensions, benefits and other benefits managed by the Ministry of Health;
Establishment and implementation of legal and medical procedures in accordance with the provisions of applicable laws.
Examination and re-examination of requests for the recognition of the rights of applicants in pension and social schemes;
Regulation and determination of the procedures for engaging doctors in medical commissions according to the requirements of the relevant departments of the Ministry of Health;
Proposing and determining the composition of the professional medical commissions and setting the schedule for the sessions of the medical commissions;
Cooperation and communication with the relevant departments of the Ministry of Education and Culture for the advancement and legality of the work of medical commissions.
Completion and review of medical evidence for all beneficiaries of rights in the pension and social schemes which are managed and administered by the Ministry of Education and Culture;
Fair and complete implementation of strategies and policies related to health treatments defined by law;
Implementation of other duties and responsibilities defined by other by-laws approved by the Ministry of Education and Culture.
Implementation and application of health rules and standards defined in health legislation.
The head of the Medical Commissions Division reports to the head of the Pensions Department.
