“I am the commander of those soldiers who honored Kosovo, who honored our nation, and I will be a soldier of the Albanian nation until death.”
These were the words spoken by Tahir Sinani after the liberation of Kosovo.
And so he acted, kept his word, and remained a soldier of the Albanian nation until death.
Born in Tropoja and trained as a soldier in the Albanian army, Tahir Sinani dedicated his life to the Albanian national cause, fighting with the same ideal in Kosovo, in the Presevo Valley, and in the Albanian lands in Macedonia.
On the 25th anniversary of his death, for the first time, the Government of Kosovo organized a Memorial Academy in Honor of the Fall of General Tahir Sinani, where his life, activity, and extraordinary contribution to the three Albanian liberation wars were appreciated, as well as the legacy he left for future generations.
Eternal glory to General Tahir Sinan!
